How to Order from Federal Resources

Federal Resources has made it easier than ever to purchase your fire, tactical, expeditionary mission critical equipment.

Federal Resources concerns itself with security of both our end users and our vendors. In order to safely ensure what our customers are permitted to purchase, we have broken up our users into special "User Groups" which detail which products they are able to browse and purchase freely.

Federal Resources User Groups:

  • General Public Users:
    Access restricted to basic mission products only (Expeditionary, Apparel, Tactical, Cases, Footwear, and Utility products, such as lighting products).

    While customer access is limited, we do carry some great products that will fit any basic mission needs.

  • State & Local / GSA Access:
    The State and Local User Group grants access to all General Public products as well as access to other products that are deemed solely for first responders, GSA authorized customers, police & law enforcement agencies, and other U.S. government organizations. State & Local users have access to more product categories including our CBRNe detectors, gases, and personal protection equipment & apparel.

    Details on how to submit GSA Authorization or Tax Exempt ID numbers to Federal Resources will be emailed to you upon registration and are also viewable on the "User Access" tab of your Profile Details page.

  • Military Users:
    This user group is strictly for U.S. Military Customers and Federal Resources Contract Holders. This group will have access to all products on the Federal Resources store and other products that are based on current contracts between the User's Organization and Federal Resources.


For more information on upgrading your User Access to either a State & Local account, or our Military User Group, please contact a Federal Resources representative to begin the customer vetting process.

A representative will be in contact with you within 24 hours to gather the required information for proper User Group placement. (24 hrs is based on Monday-Friday standard work week. Registrations entered on holidays or weekends will be postponed until the next business day).

Step 1:
Click on the "My Account" link on the the top right hand of any page. (Fig. 1)

Click the "Register" link to be directed to the registration page. (Fig. 2)




Step 2:
Enter all required information and hit "Register" at the bottom of the page. (Fig. 3)

If you enter "Yes" to being a Tax Exempt customer, please note that you will not be marked as tax exempt until all Tax Exempt ID Numbers or proof of Tax Exemption are submitted to Federal Resources.

Unit Administrator / Supervisor
- simply means, "Who do you report to?". Who is your boss? This information is required so that we may contact them if neccessary to upgrade your user access to State & Local or Military.

Unit / Department / Company
What Organization are you with?. This is also used to help quicken the access upgrade process.

- This area informs users that after registration, all new user accounts will be restricted to our Public Catalog only.

After registration, an email will be sent to the email address provided explaining how to upgrade your account to a State & Local user, or a Military User. If you do not contact us to upgrade your account, or do not hear from a Federal Resources representative, your account will stay locked on the Public Catalog access until contact is made.




Step 3:
After registration is complete, you will have access to the Public Catalog only. Details on how to upgrade your account will be emailed to you as well as being listed on your "Profile Details" page. To access your profile details page simply click the "My Account" link on the top right hand of any page. (Fig. 1)

On the dropdown you will notice that you will now be able to access your order history and to "Sign out". To access your profile details, click the "Profile details" link. (Fig. 4)

On the "Profile Details" (Fig. 5) page, you can change any information you need to, email, password, contact information, etc... After hitting "Save" your profile details will be updated and an email containing your new profile information will be sent to you.

At the top of your profile details page is a tab called "User Access".

The "User Access" tab will inform you what level of access you have been granted, either Public, State & Local, GSA Authorized, or Military. (Fig. 6) & (Fig. 7) (see above for details on each User Group access level). This tab also displays information on how to upgrade your account access.

Once a user has been granted access to a restricted catalog, the user will receive an email notification alerting them to their user access upgrade.
